Of the 42 districts affected, 8 still have standing water: Lat Krabang, Bang Kapi, Min Buri, Saphan Sung, Suan Luang, Bueng Kum, Khlong Sam Wa and Sai Mai. The BMA is lowering the main canals so water can drain out of communities. Watch for rising water from the north in Bang Phlat and Thawi Watthana, and for high tides along the Chao Phraya from 29 Sep to 4 Oct. About 300,000 households have been affected; special relief criteria are still being considered. Today, 29 Sep, is a special government holiday, and expressways are free until midnight. Report stranded bedridden or vulnerable people to 1669 or 1555. Beware of electric shock.
